Where are you located?
Our headquarters location, where we print and ship all orders, is in Burlington, Vermont on the banks of the soul stirring Lake Champlain. Check out our ode to our Green Mountain home.
How are you a sustainable t-shirt brand?
Our sustainability efforts begin with the products we make, using ethically sourced garments printed with biodegradable eco friendly inks, 100% recycled packaging, and made to order production practices to eliminate waste.
We’ve also partnered with Tree-Nation to plant one tree for each tee purchased in our online store to offset our carbon footprint, help restore forests, create jobs, support local communities and protect biodiversity.
Beyond our eco-friendly t-shirt practices and our One Tee = One Tree™ initiative, being a cool graphic tee company, we're able to do what we do best to create cool environmentalism tees to lend a fun, fashionable voice to the climate change movement.
Do you have a retail store?
Yes, we have a retail location or "Sneaky Boutique" as we like to call it. Here's info, shop hours, and directions to our Burlington, VT T-shirt Shop. Sadly the Hoboken, NJ T-shirt Shop that we recently opened in December of 2019 had to be closed due to the pandemic. However, we are still representing our square mile roots with our Hoboken t-shirt collection.
Do you sell wholesale?
Yes, we work with hundreds of eclectic boutiques and funky retail shops throughout the USA and beyond, to spread the good word of Solid Threads. Check out our Wholesale Graphic Tee program and apply to be a retailer here.
Do you offer custom printing services?
We do indeed offer custom t-shirt printing and we throw in 20+ years of fashion branding experience to boot. We print your custom apparel using next gen digital garment printers with eco friendly inks for full photorealistic colors, no order minimums and no setup fees. Where will my order ship from?
We ship the majority of orders from our flagship location in Burlington, VT. Some products, namely long sleeves, classic fleece sweatshirts & hoodies, and kids "extra soft" shirts ship from our value aligned supply partner in Charlotte, North Carolina or Tijuana, Mx, whichever is closer to the end destination. Please factor this in when selecting the most appropriate shipping method based on when you’re expecting to slip into your buttery soft new threads.

What does shipping cost?

How long does shipping take? What shipping methods do you use?
All orders are processed and shipped within 1 - 3 business days via USPS Mail. The time frames below outline the total turnaround from Solid Threads to your doorstep, factoring in our internal processing time, and the USPS transit time of your selected ship service.

I live outside of the USA, will I be charged additional customs fees or import taxes?
Most likely. Every country has different regulations on how they handle imported goods. We recommended you visit this Duty Calculator to get an estimate of what you will be charged when the package arrives. We do not pre-pay or cover any import fees.
Can I track my order?
Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an email with a USPS tracking link. Please allow 24hrs for the link to activate. Once the packages leaves the US, the tracking links may not update but the package is still on its way.
What payment methods do you offer?
We accept major credit cards such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover or directly payment through PayPal.
What is your return policy?
We want you to be 100% satisfied with your Solid Threads purchase. Items in new condition (unworn/unwashed) can be returned or exchanged within 60 days of delivery. (Please note that original shipping charges are non-refundable.)
If we made a mistake or a defective item snuck through our quality controls, pleasecontact usand we’ll a send a replacement straight away, and include your return label in the substitute package.
Do you offer FREE Returns/Exchanges?

*Domestic Orders Only. International customers can generate a return label via our Self Service Returns/Exchange Portal, but you will be asked to cover the cost of shipping the item(s) back to our address at Solid Threads, 47 Maple St. Ste 111, Burlington, VT 05401.
*Returns & exchanges for "On Sale" items are acceptable and can be processed via our Self Service Returns/Exchange Portal, but we do ask that you cover the cost of return ship labels for items from our Sale section. We also have a few items that are final sale and not eligible for returns/exchanges.
2) You'll receive a Free Return Shipping Label to affix to our reusable packaging (or comparable) and drop in the mail.
3) Your return/exchange will be processed within 2 business days of us receiving your return package.
How do your t-shirts fit?
Our shirts are predominantly true to size, with a slightly tailored cut to provide a nice athletic fit. If you are in between sizes we generally suggest going for the larger option, as they will shrink roughly .5" in width and 1" length when dried on high. Please refer to our fitting room for exact measurements Our suggestion is to measure one of your t-shirts that fit you great and select the nearest option. We offer returns or exchanges on any orders that don’t fit the way you had hoped.
Where are your shirts made?
Our t-shirts are custom cut & sewn exclusively for Solid Threads, ethically sourced in the USA and printed in house by our tight knit team in Burlington, VT headquarters. Learn more about the specific of our shirt crafting process here.
What type of fabric do you use?
Our cool graphic tees are made of a 40 thread count combed, ringspun fabric consisting of either a 60% Cotton/40% Polyester blend or a 50% Cotton/25% Poly/25% Rayon blend for a ridiculously soft, worn-in fit & feel from the get go. As cousin Eddie of the Griswalds says..."Reeeaaaallly niiiiiice Clark." Please NOTE: if you’re expecting a thick, heavyweight cotton t-shirt and that’s your barometer for t-shirt quality, we would have to recommend another brand. Our highly durable t-shirts are made from a lighter weight fabric for a breathable, buttery soft, vintage inspired feel from the get go..
How do your print your vintage inspired tees?
Our buttery soft, vintage inspired t-shirts are printed with water-based inks, free of heavy metals, formaldehyde and Alkylphenol Ethoxylates (APE), making them non-hazardous, non-toxic and biodegradable. Unlike most screen printed shirts, with thick ink that sits on top of the shirt, our water-based inks get absorbed into the fabric leaving a soft, breathable print.
Who does the artwork for your graphic tees?
Our original t-shirts designs are all hand crafted or art directed by our Head T-shirt Guy himself. We also collaborate with a rotating collective of celebrated artists who bring their eclectic personalities and t-shirt design talents to the wearable canvas for uniquely stylish comfort rooted in flavor & fun.
What inspires your t-shirt themes and collections?
The themes we weave through our vintage inspired t-shirt collection over 20 years in the making are sewn upon a search for acceptance, empowerment, and meaning. Our cool graphic tees take a light hearted (and sometimes winding) path towards this self evolution we seek, but the base fabric of our themes are tied to those core tenets we feel are crucial to cultivating a connected way of being.
It's the contrast between light and dark threads as they converge that reveals our inherent beauty and uniqueness. Through our tees we hope to transform this seemingly incongruent patchwork of contradictions into a marvelous matrix of meaning.

Do you sell gift cards?
Yes, we certainly do. You can purchase Solid Threads Gift Cards here. The gift cards are delivered by email and contain instructions to redeem them at checkout. Our gift cards have no additional processing fees and no expiration dates.
